Honorary Life Membership
At the recommendation of a subcommittee/ member, honorary memberships can be awarded by the Committee, at the AGM, to any member of the club, who rendered an outstanding service to the club over an extended period of ten (10) years or more. The benefits of an honorary member include – Membership Fee redemption, Invitation to attend as honorary guest at any national or branch social event. The Club has granted honorary membership to 10 members over the years and currently only has 7 living honorary members. Who are Tou Nel; Phil McPherson, Andre de Haan, Fred Kunniger, Howard Bates, Tom Campher & Deon van Loggerenberg. The three honorary members who have passed away are Chris Theunissen (awarded posthumously 2019) Leon Spoor, Theo Tamsen and Louis Vally.
